Weeks can look so bad 1 at bat, then look like an absolute stud the next. His last SO AB was horrid, he kept swinging and fouling off the same high and inside pitch time after time and finally K'd on it.

I sense a lot a passion in that postgame interview with sheets...and i like it a lot. That's the guy I want leading them into the postseason (sorry if i'm getting too far ahead).

That's probably exactly right. I think the "happy jolly Sheets" was necessary to mentally get him through losing seasons with a sub-3.00 ERA.

Great, quick game. Another hit for Sheets and some nice pitches. One darn long ball shy of the shutout.

 

I really like that the hitters gave Sheets some run support and confidence early in the game. Hope it continues tomorrow.
