I saw that before I went to bed last night, and made sure it was the first thing I looked for in the Sunday paper this morning. Reading that was my happiest moment today. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Agreed 100%. I hope tomorrow's not rained out - I just cannot wait for this season any longer!

I mean... I even watched the Nationals play tonight. Thrilling ending there!

Wow, that has to be the most horrible thing I have seen posted on this board in quite a while. Opening Day without cable.

Oh don't worry. I have the afternoon off and I'll be supporting some local establishment with cable and delicious refreshments. I was hoping to DVR the game though. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

What? Did you just move or something? It's why I made sure to move back in January. I even scheduled my digital cable hookup around the GB-SEA game. And since they only brought one of my cable boxes, I got free DVR AND Showtime. While not HBO, I can't complain about free.

I agree with Logan - that's just terrible.

Sadly I cannot get off of work tomorrow afternoon (I have an afternoon full of meetings) so I guess I'll just have to catch an update when I can.

That's not right. You should record it and avoid updates at all costs. You only get one opening day a year. Well maybe 2 if tomorrow is canceled.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I was just thinking about that. I just have this feeling the game's going to be postponed until Tuesday...

Actually, given Prince's flu-like symptoms, I would prefer it get postponed so he gets an additional day of rest.

For selfish reasons I don't want the game canceled. I only took Monday off. Next year I am going to take the whole week off if possible.

Yeah, shame on anyone who doesn't first go over the schedule of a sports team before deciding when to move. Yikes.

I planned poorly and only ordered cable last wednesday. My fault.

Prince has flu-like symptoms? I heard he just wasn't feeling well. I wonder if there's a chance he picked up what Hardy had? That wouldn't be too good.

I also wouldn't like the game to be played Tuesday...I already have off Monday afternoon & Friday and spent a week at spring training...my office will start wondering if I work for them or the Brewers.

Yes - according to JSOnline:

First baseman Prince Fielder, who didn't play in the Brewers' final exhbition game Saturday because he had early symptoms of a possible bout with the flu, didn't work out with the team this afternoon at Wrigley Field, staying in the team hotel instead.
I do agree with The Prince of Darkness, where in the same blog, he says:

Whoever scheduled these teams to play in Wrigley instead of 90 miles to the north under the roof of Miller Park should have his head examined. It makes no sense whatsoever, especially when the Brewers return to Wrigley before the end of the month.

It makes a lot of sense to go to Chicago twice in the first month and not even once in the great indoors in Milwaukee, doesn't it?

This is also why I'm shocked MIN didn't build their new stadium with a roof. Especially for April/May and summer rainstorms.

Tomorrow cannot come soon enough for me.

Coolest girl ever?

I have to work during the game, I was planning on DVRing it and watching it when I get off..But I drive for my job, and I don't know if I can resist the temptation to just listen to the game and watch the recording later. Most times I'll record it and watch it later but I don't know if I'll keep my sanity trying to not tune in on the radio.

I've been on this site for a month, and I was waiting for someone to point out the fact that I'm one of the few women on here.

I can't believe I was scooped with the Fielder news. I usually check the jsonline blog every few hours. Looks like he'll be playing on tomorrow (if there's a game) though, so that's great news.

Latest forecast: Horrible. It's raining now, and it is supposed to continue raining until well after game time.

In my time here nobody has really cared about gender, just about opinions.

Haha... your avatar (and username) kinda give it away - I call my 3 1/2 year old niece "Ewizabeff" (or some variant therein) whenever I talk to her.

That's the prediction I've been hearing as well. I say Wrigley Field should be leveled, and if the Cubs aren't contracted, the stadium should be replaced with something that has a retractable roof.

I've heard so many people rave about Wrigley, and I just don't understand it. Yes, it's historic, but the one time I was there I was amazed by what a piece of junk it was. They should keep a bunch of bricks that are falling on people's heads for a great display in a new park, and then build something that can handle the weather and provides at least some of the parking they need...

Yeah my friend has been there a few times and he says it's just a sack of crap. You have to pee in a trough for goodness' sake!

Are they the only team in the MLB that uses bricks for the outfield wall?

A rain out would really suck. I doubt I get any sleep tonight. It happens anytime I go to a game too. I get up earlier than usual, 2:00 being my usual time to wake up. Add to that being a little excited about tomorrow and I doubt I get more than 2-3 hours sleep tops.
