In hindsight, obviously. Without hindsight...on one hand, that's quite a jam; but on the other, Vargas has escaped a heck of a lot this season.

 

On the third hand, that's bound to catch up sometime. But Ned doesn't have three hands to reason that far. Oh well, time to buckle down now.

The guy cruised through the first 5 innings giving up 3 hits and no runs. What else did you want Yost to do? I'm sure nobody was warming up, nor was there a need to, until after the first walk. How much quicker did you want him pulled?

Yes, because they are so taxed after all the work they had lasy night and the daunting off-day tomorrow. If we need 4 innings out of the bullpen, today is as good of day as any. Lets hope they keep up the normally good work and don't have a repeat of that Braves game from a few Wednesdays ago.
