I think Weeks will be completely wasted being surrounded by Mench, Miller and Vargas. I suspect Yost has decided that he has to have a consistent lineup again, however. I doubt we'll see any changes to the order anytime soon.

I do like the fact that Ned is finally remaining consistent with his lineup, but does it make sense to bat Rickie behind Damien and Mench? If he hits a ball in the gap, he might just catch Damien rounding 2nd base. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Also, not sure what the prevailing thought is here as I am new to the site, but does I am not sure if I like Rickie hitting 8th. I am sure its just for a short time til he gets his cuts in, but its seems like it eliminates his speed on the bases. (stealing with the pitcher up)

I think eventually Weeks will hit 6th.. Jenks/Mench will bat 7th and the catcher will bat 8th...

at least I hope that is the way it goes... unbelievable that the top 6 would be:

Hart

Hardy

Braun

Fielder

Hall

Weeks

Can't believe that not one of them flamed out in the minors.. nice picking Jack Z.

In two years when you add Laporte/Gillepsie and Salome to that lineup it will be even more amazing.

I am, but it's better than Jenkins in the lineup vs LHP.

I completely agree and would not have suggested putting Jenks in there. Just hoping Melvin can one day move the Mench. Once that happens, I don't think there will be much to complain about for a while http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Not sure I want Estrada batting in front of the pitcher. He has the plate discipline of Jabba the Hut......they could throw him junk all day and he'd flail and hit dying quails to the SS/2B.

Weeks in front of the pitcher makes a lot of sense.

If he gets on with less than two outs the pitcher can move him from 1st to 2nd, or if he steals or hits a double, from 2nd to 3rd. It's a good spot for him right now. When he finds his power again, then you move him.
