speaking of the Cubs, does anyone know exactly when Lee is going to finally serve his suspension? This weekend would be good. Nice inning for Soup there.

He's givin up two runs after 5 now. I don't really call that getting beat up. Does he have to throw a shutout? Keep us in the game until the late innings and hope we score enough runs, which is hapening right now. Lets go offense!

As long as the Brewers take care of their business, it's going to be very difficult for the Cubs to catch them - The Cubs would have to exceed whatever Milwaukee does by at least 8 games just to catch them.

The last I heard, Lee officially appealed his suspension on the 20th and didn't expect to have his case heard for at least "a couple weeks," meaning he's expected to play in the upcoming series.

I love that the Cubs have played their best baseball, and only gained a game on the Crew. If we can take 2 of 3 in Wrigley, the division will be almost over.

Soup seems to be channeling Bill Wegman. I always remember Wegman for giving up a lead as soon as it was given to him.

This is not a bad start. He is exactly what we paid for. A mid 4 era guy and he is going to win about 12 or 13 games. He is keeping us in the game and you have to expect to score about 5 runs to win a game. So this is a pretty good start I would say with 7 k's.
