Here's to hoping Suppan has another solid outing like the one he had against Houston. Maybe a start against the Pirates is what he needs to get back on track..he's already 2-0 against the Bucs this year with a 3.80 ERA, but it looks like he's been more lucky than good against them -- a total of 14 hits and 3 walks in 11.2 IP.

I'm not asking for 7 IP, 2 ER, and 8 K's...just get us through 6 innings without giving up 3 home runs in the first 2 innings, please. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Since the Brewers get the Pirates top two pitchers in games 3 and 4 of the series, that means the Cubs will miss both of them in their 3 game set this weekend. Tough break for the Brewers, but can't really complain as they have been missing a lot of top starters lately.

any word on a lineup yet?

I'll be content with a split at PNC but will really be rooting for 3 out of 4.

Right now, I'm really just looking forward to the all star game for the first time ever. Usually I don't care that much about it... hmm, wonder why this year is any different? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Wow! Braun is Rookie of the Month and Sheets is Pitcher of the Month!

That's awesome way to start this series.

Ann Carroll actually looks decent up in Eau Claire out of the studio. Skin looks much more softer and smoother and not caked in makeup. Of course, she looks like she's 12 years old sitting behind the big desk on a too-small chair.

Why is she in Eau Claire? I haven't been watching the pregame show.

Some Hank Aaron-related history segments. It looks like they also filmed a short interview with Jim Gantner, since his Northwoods League team was in Eau Claire playing the Express.

It didn't take long for Jack Flash-in-the-pan Wilson to rob a Brewer of a hit. When does Pitt build a new stadium?

Things aren't starting off that great today. Jenkins misplays the ball in the outfield and the Cubs have already scored a couple runs in the 1st and are still batting.

I don't mind the Pirates scoring one early, but the misplay and Suppan primarily missing up in the zone doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy.

Well he's missing up and over the plate, sometimes a good 2 feet from where Miller's glove is located. I certainly hope he settles in, but he's not locating well early. The ball over Jenkins head was hit pretty well, but should have been an out all the same.
