Should have got this one today, but I'll take a 4.5 game lead at the break with a relatively easy 10-game homestand coming up. Maybe they'll follow the pattern they've had all year and get hot and have another 9-1 homestand before they start losing on the road again.

I was going to predict someone hits a solo home run in the 9th, but with Estrada, Gross, and Gwynn, I'll settle for a ball out of the infield. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

I'll knock on wood for you there. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

And, lost in the crapfest that was the Nationals' sixth inning...

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Ol Nedly seemed pretty perturbed in the post-game conference. And he ended it rather rudely http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I believe the Brewers will hold off the Cubs and Cards for the NL Central division crown. Having said that, the primary concern that I have for this team is being able to close this out down the stretch run. The reason why I am not totally confident in this team is its inability to win baseball games on the road. Series vs. PITT and WASH should be very winnable no matter if you're playing them at home or away. I am skeptical of their ability to turn it around because of the consistent lackluster play on the road I witnessed from April-Sept. last season.

Colorado has shown flashes of dominance at home, but, like the Brewers, have played poorly on the road. I like our chances on this homestand--Arizona isn't that great, and we swept SF just a couple of weeks ago.
