Sorry for not having complete IGT's this weekend, but I was a little too busy. Everything will be back to normal after the all-star break.

Beat the Nats!!!

Good vibes today. Let's go into the break with a (one game) winning streak. I called for Mench on Friday and Fielder last night. Let's go for the triple crown: Jenkins with a big day at the plate today to key the offense.

weather.com predicts a high of 98 with a heat index well over 100 in DC today. Not to mention there won't be a cloud in the sky, and that RFK is a heat-trapping bowl. Endurance will be tested.

So, even with his best stuff, Cappy would probably only be able to go 6 or 7, and that's if he's dominant. Luckily, Yost can treat this like a playoff game and empty the bullpen with the huge break coming up.

I am in stunned disbelief that Tim Redding is pitching for a major league team.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw him pitch for the Nats against the Cubs last week.

"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

any particular reason we are starting Gwynn over Jenkins against a righty? Is Jenks a little dinged up?

Tough loss last night, I thought for sure we were going to have our first ninth inning comeback of the year. Let's get those pesky (g)Nats today to turn everyone's frown upside down.

I wouldn't completely mind if Tim Redding assumed the near-fetal position today, much as he has in wOOgiE's post above.

As long as it's not from heat stroke. No one deserves that.

Go Brewers! Get to 50 today!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Yeah, Jenkins/Hart/Gross across the OF would have looked fine against a guy like Redding. The ball's going to be jumping out of the yard (relatively speaking when talking about RFK, of course).

I'm a little surprised he's not starting Jenks also. Oh well, if we can get to 50 before the break I could really careless who was in the lineup today.

How about a 3-run 1st and actually keeping the lead the entire game?

I'll say Cappy goes 6IP, 3ER, 4K, 2BB. And for the fun of it, 1-2 at the plate with an RBI.

First time poster.....

Jenkins is in the lineup today according to FSN pre game.

What an odd lineup....5 lefties in a row??

Hart

Hardy

Braun

Fielder

Estrada

Jenkins

Gwynn

Counsell

Cappy

Very unlike Ned to stack that many lefties in a row.
