Boston Dynamics, with funding from DARPA (the U.S. Defense project group that basically created the internet) has created a serious monster. My jaw dropped when I saw this thing collect itself when walking on ice midway through the following clip. Terminator is not far away.

Damn, that Big Dog bot was just plain incredible!! For every moment in the video when I thought, "Meh...", there was a spot where I absolutely crapped my pants after the robot recovered something fierce from being kicked/slipping on ice/random stuff.
