It would've been nice to see the home run derby at a time when the shadows wouldn't affect everybody, but obviously the derby is going to be in prime time. Guerrero didn't give Prince very good pitches, the ones that he got inside were too inside, but I don't care, it's just nice to see some publicity for the Brewers.

It's exciting to think that someone from the Brewers is bound to have significant impact on the game tomorrow night. JJ walk-off with CoCo locking down the save?

oh, and I'm tired of Joe Morgan. He's talking more about his useless prediction coming true than the actual competition.

plus he took credit for predicting the Brewers success this season because he saw one game in spring training and said they could win the division. Joe should've talked to all of us who thought four years ago they could win the division in 2007.

yeah, I don't care what anybody says about the guys in the 2nd round "going off" for many homers, this derby has been a big fat dud. Very boring.

And I'm not just saying that because Prince is out.

highlight so far is Bonds "I don't even know what a commissioner does!" comment.

over/under for total amount of hours spent tomorrow on coverage and debate on ESPN of Bonds HR derby interview: 4.5

This years derby can be summed up better with a picture:

You're better than that

That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me in like 2 months.

Equally disappointing:

I would have preferred a photo of some hot bikini girl than Tony M. to designate what you mean.

Please edit the photo (or add one.) You're better than that and you should know us better than that! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Not that I really care a whole lot, but I am glad Vladmir Guerrero won instead of some unknown guy like Matt Holliday or Alex Rios. This was clearly a lousy ballpark for a HR derby too. Without an upper deck, you don't get the perception of bombs being hit.

I still think we had one of the better homerun derbys here in Milwaukee in 2002.

Dusty Baker, Joe Morgan, and Chris Berman. It's like a perfect storm of people I can't stand.

If you add Tim McCarver to the mix, the All-Star festivities are filled with a number of truly annoying broadcasters.
