The slow, plodding, boring, mid-major Big 10 is 3-0, and a convincing 3-0 at that. Way to go! Media darlings like USC and Arizona are done. The Warriors will be in for a world of hurt against Stanford if they expect all their scoring to come from 2nd chance points. Time to start hitting some shots boys.

Well, the Big Ten teams beat Baylor, CS-Fullerton and Temple while USC and Arizona lost to very good teams from the Big 12 and Big East, so it is kind of an Apples to Oranges comparison.

I've been a Big Ten fan and defender for a long time, but I my patience is starting to wear thin with the Badgers. They seem to be built for the regular season and not tourney play. They are consistent, disciplined, and deliberate and that goes a long way in a grind-it-out Big Ten season, but that style of play has non translated to Tournament wins. Their last three tourney games they have not looked good at all.

 

Let's up Indiana can win today and the Big Ten puts 4 in the Sweet 16.

They looked fine last night. They never win pretty. And last year's team is not a true indication of Bo Ryan basketball (might have been different had Butch not been hurt) He's got a Final 8 and a Sweet Sixteen on his resume with this same style of basketball. Are you expecting the Final Four every year?

Yea, I don't think it's apples and oranges but I get your point. But some of the talking heads were putting USC into the Final Four and certainly the Sweet 16. I saw more than one predict Arizona was a real sleeper for the Sweet 16. Yes, the Big Ten teams had fairly weak opponents in comparison, but they breezed through rather easily. Still real early, but a nice start for the Big Ten. Just nice to see the darlings like the PAC 10 and SEC take some lumps. Because I don't think those conferences are any better than the Big 10.

 

Bucky's style is just fine for tourney play. They made it the Final Four. I think they looked just fine last night, a nice methodical win where the outcome was never really in question.

Davidson takes more wild chances slinging the ball around than Brett Favre, and today it's not working for them at all. Lots of turnovers on bad decisions.

 

This game is playing a lot like an NBA game. Davidson play like the Suns with that white guy pushing it like Nash. Great stuff.

Typically I have one good day in picking in the 1st round and one horrible day. My good day was yesterday. What then is today? If Davidson wins, I'm helped immensely. I've got them going to the Sweetness. As I type that, Stephan Curry hit a HUGE 3. He is amazing. His dad was an amazing shooter, and I think it's gotta be genetics. He's a freak when it comes to shooting the ball.

Flawless form. Kid is right on the mark everytime.

 

On another note, I think they just showed the artist formerly known as Adam Morrison. I don't think he's had a haircut since senior year. Wow.

Drake within one point with over a minute remaining. That ankd Kentucky not doing well with the FTs as a team. I like Drake's chances.

 

Edit: Huge 3 to tie it! Wow, what a game! What an amazing comeback to not give up when being down by more than 16 with less than 10 min remaining.

 

Edit2: Charge! Drake with the last shot to win it!

 

Edit3: To Over Time. With all of the momentum and the fact that WK just lost Slaughter. Drake has to have the advantage in the extra period.
