I have a signed ball from most/many of the 1978 Brewers team with George Bamberger signing the sweet spot on it. The ball is an official American League ball. Any estimates on that? I also found a print by Mike Morbeck framed and there were 4000 made. It honors county stadium with a number of images that County Stadium came to show and stand for. Anybody familiar with this piece? I picked them up locally here for a very good deal, at least I think! Thanks in advance.

i dont think so, WiSports, I'm pretty sure as long as its on an AL/NL/or OMLB ball, they go for about the same...as long as it's not like Yount on an NL ball...that's my guess, though I could be slightly off. the all star game or world series balls that are on ebay go for more because those are moments, but no one sweetspots em...i dunno if there is more value under a world series logo compared to the sweetspot, by rule of thumb, i always go for a sweetspotted ball over any other signed ball

For a pair that sounds like a deal They seem to go for $150 and up for just one

I have been looking for a while and have seen only a handful on eBay and maybe 1 or 2 craigslist postings.

Would love to get one for my collection someday as well.

I was actually bidding against zachlaka and happy youngster on an auction for a champagne bottle from last year on mlb.com's site when I decided to just check ebay for the heck of it. I've never really looked outright for them until now, so it was a spur of the moment decision.

Zach, sorry to drive the price of last year's bottle up on you!

What those bottles were just on eBay and I missed them darn just my luck.

No worries on the price of the bottle this also was a spur of the moment decision to go as high as I did. And after reading someone's post on here about getting one and getting it signed by CC during the celebration after the game last year I knew I wanted a bottle to go with my ticket and awesome memories from being at that game sitting one section over in LF bleachers were Brauns home run landed in the bullpen.

Surprisingly enough that seller had 4 previous bottles for sale earlier in the week that ended with two having no bids and two bids for the others both under $35 I missed bidding on those by 1 minute since I was at work and busy go figure.

He may still sell the others since none of the reserves were met I am trying to get in contact with the seller through MLB to see if they would sell them without putting them up for auction. Will definitely let you know if I get a response.

Yes I would definitely take you up on that offer if I can get another bottle. I will keep in touch with you if I get lucky.

A few game-used items, specifically cleats, that I was hoping I might be able to pin a value on:

- 1982 pair of Rollie Finger cleats

- 1984 dual signed Robin Yount cleats

- 2008 dual signed Corey Hart cleats

I have all three in my possession, and all three have been worn by each player. Just looking for opinions on what others feel they are worth. I plan on getting Rollie to sign his pair next month at Waukesha Sportscards. The Yount signatures are probably a 5 or 6 out of 10 grade, so not the greatest. The Harts came from Legends and are obviously in nicer shape than the other two pair.

Some other game-used items I've picked up that I'd value everyone's opinions on:

- a game-used base from Miller Park

- Don Sutton locker room plate from '82

- Paul Molitor signed, game-used batting glove from when w/MN Twins

- Ted Simmons unsigned game-used 2008 jersey w/MLB authentication

- Carlos Villanueva signed 2007 Cerveceros game-used jersey

- Mike Cameron signed game used cool-base navy blue jersey

- Mike Cameron signed game used fielding glove

- 1982 World Series game 1 ticket stub signed by Mike Caldwell (winning pitcher)

I know game-used items, whether signed or unsigned can vary greatly, so that's why I was asking for some more valued opinions from the board members here. Thanks guys!

On a quick side note about the 1982 champagne bottles. There were for different types made. One for the brewers. And 3 made for other places to sell as a replica. The places that sold them were sazs the hyatt and the phfister. If u remember right. I have had 3 different ones myself. You can tell because on the bottom of the lable in the middle of it, it will says hyatt or sazs. If there is nothing there then it came from the brewers. Some people don't know this and when they go to sell them they want to overprice. If you guys have any questions let me know I can also provide pics in needed. Thanks Matt

the sazs bottles was made for sazs to re-sell as a souvenir. they are still worth 60-100 easy. the bottle from the brewers are worth more and i have seen 2 for sale at the same shop. one opened for 250 and one unopened for 500 a bit overpriced in my opinion but thats the only one i have seen so i have no clue what they would be worth or would sell for even on ebay.

I'm not loking to sell, just curious as to what you guys think an item like this might go for.

It is a growth chart poster that was a stadium give-away in 1988, and is in fair to good condition considering that it is now 22 years old and was on display on my wall for a majority of my teenage years.

It measures 75" x 38" and is autographed by Paul Molitor (signed during a meet and greet at a Wisconsin Timber Rattler game last year). I am bringing it to the Brewer's On Deck this Sunday to get signed by Robin.

I see a lot of Fingers signed balls go around about 35 (with HOF inscription) I'd guess the stats would bump that to 75-100 range? I don't think it'd fetch more than that. Did you get it all at a signing, a dealer/ebay, or get it as a gift?

im kicking myself for this, but how much do you think game used BJ Surhoff shin guards would go for? A guy on eBay just sold em for 65. I was planning on bidding, but was making dinner and lost track of time...i'd assume more, since stuff like that is harder to come by...thanks

Were they signed? What was the provenance?

If they were real, I'd probably spend $175-$200 for the pair. Not sure of the market value, but they would be great to have and show to friends to try on, etc.

Catchers gear is inherently cool, so it would be worth paying more.

Sorry Bikeage77, I was determined to win those shin guards. The $65 was far less than what I planned on spending. Jim, I think you might be on to the price. My max bid was in that neighborhood.

As for the provenance, I can't say for sure but I know three things. Custom shin guards like that, from that era were almost never found on the retail level, the signatures were rock solid and the seller is also reputable (having purchased parts of his collection in the past).
