It looked to me like he hit his right hand on his left arm during his follow thru, sort of like the quarterback who hits the lineman. Maybe he jammed it or something and dislocated it or cracked his fingernail. If its anything like that he'll be gone for a while.

For some reason, I have a feeling about that we are going to win this game.

I appreciate the optimism. But if the Brewers win tonight while losing Ben, every media outlet will use the tired old "won the battle but lost the war?" cliche.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

We spend a considerable amount of time critiquing the pitchers every night. Is anyone else getting tired of the poor approach to hitting? The only two guys that ever go with a pitch are Braun and Fielder and they happen to be our top 2 hitters. You can't try to pull every pitch. Watch the swings in our half of the 5th and comment on what you think.

My friend was at the bar last night and he couldn't believe how many people were jumping off the bandwagon last night. This stretch will test how the mentality of this team holds up. Will they collapse or will they show resilience? These guys are winners and they will rebound, they are young.

All I'm doing right now is trying to come up with some injury that won't have Sheets out for more than a start. I'm not coming up with anything... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

I think Estrada does a decent job of going with the pitch. I remember times early on (like April and May) in which I love watching his approach because it is so much different than the guys in front of him (line drives instead of home runs).

Well, we're down to a 3 game lead over the Cubs, Sheets just went out with another blister, our starting pitching besides him is next to useless right now, and we're in danger of dropping another series, this one at home to an average team. Oh, and we're getting no-hit by a guy that we discussed trading Kevin Mench for in the off-season.

I'm not quite sure how things could be worse for the Brewers right now. I guess I'll cling to the "we're still in first place!" thing while it's still there.

We haven't even heard an official report about the injury yet. I choose to be optimistic until I hear bad news. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Yeah a lot of the bandwagon is now saying "I knew they weren't for real" and "same old Brewers".

I dunno what to think, the team is playing pretty poorly, the team MVP from last year is injured and now the "Ace" could be hurt, things don't look good. I thought the same thing about the Cubs a month ago though and it seems like they haven't lost a game since.

I agree that Estrada looked good early on but the ground out to the pitcher is an example of what I'm talking about. A pitch on the outside corner and he tries to yank it and it goes to the pitcher. That pitch should be taken to left field. I know this should go in the vent thread but it is driving me nuts.
