ahh chris burke struck out for the astros with the bases juiced in a one run game to end the inning.

Corder's slider was filthy tonight... glad they started to swing. Very nice series win!

Rockies fans must hate Coco. Last year, in Denver, TGjr slipped in center field giving one of their players a triple to lead off the ninth. We were only up 1 i believe and Frankie got out of that one too! That was the game that really confirmed my happiness in regards to the Carlos Lee trade.

Games like today's and yesterday's make you realize that things really do even out in baseball.

Those early-season losses against the Phils (Turnbow's meltdown), Rangers (Coco's 4-run 9th with 2 outs), and Cubs (A-Ram's walkoff) don't seem as painful when the Brewers are somewhat able to turn the tables and win tight games.

How is it always an adventure with Coco on the mound?? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif The career save percentage record is what Hoffman somewhere in the upper 80's. Which means that the HOF closers of still mess up 1 out of 10 times. Things may seem adventurous because I think Yost has been more aggressive with Cordero and put him into games earlier and I think he's gotten quite a few tough save opps and not the 3 run laughers.

Yeah, sorry, Brian:

You've got to tread carefully with those "sixty-nine" image searches.

I'm with splitter, I'll take what we got today.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Soup not only help his own cause with the bat, but to last (even just a bit) into the 7th. It was also good to see so many of Ned's dice rolls work out. Sorry, Ned, but you know that's what it comes down to.

I am still mildly stunned to think of Mench with a triple - made me think of SgtClueLs! - and perhaps especially his near collision with the pitcher when he scored his run. Our terrace box seats provided an excellent view from above on the ball popping loose, apparently by sheer Mench Force. Mench Force? How did I get the opportunity to coin that phrase? Anyway, I'm glad it worked out and hope for some success vs. the D-backs, including success against Sharpie on Wednesday. I'm about 98% into my acceptance stage.

Other game notes:

This won't matter much to the rest of you, but the PA speakers that serve section 417 are WORKING AGAIN. They'd been delivering only muffled sounds since the mid-2003 or 2004 season. We commented to the guest relations staff and emailed the front office, but accepted what we thought was our fate sometime in '05. I don't know what they tweaked during this last roadtrip, but today we could hear everything clearly.

Also - it was good to see TooLiveBrew outside the park, and especially to meet Principessa21. No offense, TLB, but we weren't meeting you for the first time. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Edit: And there were SOOOUUUP chants today! Has there been reason for fans to do that at Miller Park this year? (Today was only the second time we've seen a Suppan start in person.)

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
