Players who were in the all star game really didn't get any rest. Counsell has hit better than Hardy since May 15th so its really not that big a deal. Weeks is quite obviously strugging and Estrada sitting is just normal.

Even those in the game had at least 2 days off after the game. I know Counsell has been better lately, but he's still Counsell, and sitting Hardy isn't the solution to him breaking out of his slump.

Just don't like this lineup, regardless of how guys have been lately, we know there isn't much strength in this lineup.

Hope I am wrong. Maybe we get a huge day from Graffy or something, I don't know. But I still cringe to see Graffy and Counsell in the lineup on the same day.

well the Cubs are winning now, just tossed up 6 so far in the 2nd. We need to get something going right now.

They are sure have been doing a nice impression of a good team for awhile now..............

Why is it when the brewers play good its because we have a good team but when the Cubs play well its because "things are going right for them"?

This lineup is awful. How much rest do guys really need 2 days after the all-star break??

Is it "rest"? Or "lack of production"?

Weeks since May 1st (27 for 134) good for a .201 average.

Hardy since June 1st (25 for 116) good for a .206 average.

Against a Righty you are going to have Jenkins in the lineup. You don't want Mench so it comes down to Gross or Gwynn.

Day game after a night game with 18 games in 17 days makes it a no-brainer for Miller to play.

I don't think its so much about rest as it is..best available options.

It would be a travesty for the Brewers to lose a game in which Soup pitches really well(assuming it stays that way) for the first time in a long time. Especially if they were to lose 1-0. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

This IGT seems to be more concerned about the Cubs score then the Brewers score. We need to worry about ourselves here and let the Cubs do what they do. As long as we win, nothing changes and they can talk all they want to in Chicago.

People worried about the Cubs right now..don't forget the Brewers are in the driver's seat. 3.5 games is still a week's worth of us struggling and them playing well before they are even in first....

Plus if they do catch the Crew..there's nothing that says we won't catch them back by October.

It's still a long season.

Plus Soup just tied the game...so the sky isn't falling anymore, right?
