I think I was 70th after the first week - getting to 12th makes me a big winner. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Wow, my bracket looked bad early, but I managed to pick both championship game participants and the champion for the 3rd straight year. Can't remember how far down I was after the opening weekend but ending up in 3rd was a huge surprise.

well sorry to hear that jimbo... that means you are going to be 1 win short of winning it all

As John McLaughlin would say: "WRONG!!"

In the middle rounds I was in the 65-70 percentile range, yet few people ahead of me picked Kansas to win the title, so I knew I was still in it. A one-point win, every game mattered.

Out of 2.2 million brackets submitted to Yahoo!, mine was #26,815. So I figure my odds of winning the 102 person brewerfan pool with this bracket was

p = (1 - 26815/2200000)^101 = 0.289744

so a little luck was in play.

Basking in this glory is nice, but what is also nice is the $220 I won in the office pool, having to beat out my boss's kid who had Memphis.

Thanks for the kudos, TLB!
