Ned didn't want to pitch Parra because he didn't want him to accumulate innings to be off the Power 50 by the end of the year.. with all the graduation that last 2 years they want to make sure the Power 50 still had high profile prospects to draw new recruits to this site.

Just another example of how Brewerfan.net has overstepped their boundaries and started dictating game strategy.

actually, perhaps they are stretching out Wise for a rotation spot. He's started for us before on occasion, and perhaps they feel better about having him throw then rest 4 days, than having Yo in the rotation till Sept

Thats pretty intriguing. I wouldn't think this would even be considered because basically all he's got is that change up, but he sure looked good today. He's also been very non-durable and I don't remember Wise starting in a game, but I've been embarrassingly wrong before. An intriguing thought though.

I'm just happy Graffy is way out of his funk because he actually hits pretty well for a middle IF and I think he tends to be a little underrated. As messed up as the arby thing turned out it wasn't the worst thing in the world especially know that we are trying to essentially fill in for Rickie.

I agree, igor. He's a really underrated player. There's not many teams that can say they have a back-up 2B as good as Graffy (though right now he's not the back-up). He's been hot for a while now, but now it's finally starting to show in his numbers as he digs out of that hole he was in.

If I'd known you were going today, splitter, I'd have waved or something. Our seats were not quite Pedroesque but in 217, still nicer than our usual. They were in front of Robb Edwards. who said hello when we arrived.

I am enjoying the vocabulary building exercise this IGT has been. "Forfeit lineup" and BurbaHelling are sure to enter my personal lexicon. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

During the game, I was thinking of referring to the latter innings as the Matt Wise showcase, but the activity on this board the last 24 hours seems to give that phrase a lot more meaning than I'd intended. If he somehow does prove to be trade bait, I just hope other teams aren't looking at his skill in breaking up double plays (he stopped running about 2/3 of the way to second).

10-5 in 2007 on the hawing ticket - I'll take it for sure. They'd better not wait until our next game (7/31) to win again, though.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
