Cubs move Zambrano back in fear of facing the Brewers

Carlos Zambrano is slated to start Tuesday for the Cubs when they play host to Oakland at HoHoKam Park at 3:05 p.m. Zambrano, the Cubs' Opening Day starter, was pushed back a day to avoid facing the Milwaukee Brewers in spring and again in the regular-season opener.

Like the Brewers haven't seen Zambrano enough that one Spring Training start is going to give anything up. The Cubs are scared of us. Tis true.

The Cubs did the same thing last year. This is Piniella's philosophy, not anything directed at the Brewers specifically. If they were facing the Giants in the opening week, he'd do the same thing. Sure the Brewers have faced Zambrano a lot, but not in over 6 months. Piniella won't start Lilly vs. the Brewers either this spring.

Rich Hill, who started yesterday, is not scheduled to pitch in the first series.

No Lilly or Hill in the first series? I guess the one team we do have an advantage against due to our right hand heavy lineup is the Cubs, given that 2 of their top 3 guys are lefties.

If the Brewers can take that first game against Z, should be able to hopefully win the series.
