did you just create bad mojo by starting the IGT before woogie? Or did you know ahead of time that he couldn't do it today?

Either way, you're right. It's the Giants.

This isn't a good sign. I had a dream that Soup gave up back to back grand slams in 8 straight batters, bringing the game to 10 - 8. They bring in Bush who gives up another one.. and we lose 29 - 10. NOOO!

Relax, Sgt; that math doesn't even add up. Plus I had a dream earlier this season about the Brewers losing by a similarly goofy margin, and it didn't happen.

Come on, Brewers. Make some hay this weekend and don't let the circus freak get to you!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

In a surprising event, the Cubs are going to win again today. Does anyone know if they will lose a game sometime soon? I remember the mathematicians on this sight earlier were saying that with the Brewers fast start, the Cubs would have to play like something like .650-.700 ball to get to like 88-90 wins and thus win the division.

I think with today's win they will be like 19-5 (.791).

It has got to turn around right?

I mean we know Soriano, Ramirez, and Lee are studs, but the rest of their lineup looks like Brewer lineups of the past with average talent Theriot, Fontenot, Kendall/Hill, Jones, Pagan. They have speed for sure, but it seems that everyone is killing the ball. Pinella is putting hit and runs on at the right times, making the right pitching changes at the right times, etc, etc.

I guess as they say, just win baby!!!

I am just hoping for someone to put the Cubs down to earth a little because, .800 ball cannot be sustained!!!

Oh, and is Marmol the next Cy Young? I never heard his name mentioned with the Homer Bailey's, Tim Lincecum's, Yo Gallardo's of the world. They have to be playing over the heads!!

Cubs should probably lose two in a row soon. This is getting ridiculous.

But anyways, Graffy in LF again tonight and a heavy righty lineup again, a la Wednesday, hopefully a better result.

I am not trying to make a point, I just had a little time to count this up:

Since June 1, the Cubs are 29 - 15.

Since June 1, the Brewers are 24 - 17.

Since June 1, the Brewers have only lost 3 1/2 games to a team playing with a .659 winning percentage.

The Cubs since June 1 are playing on pace to win 107 games extrapolated over a 162 game season.

The Brewers since June 1 are on pace to win 95 games extrapolated over a 162 game season.

I don't think that the Cubs can repeat the same 44 game record. I do think that the Brewers are capable of repeating their record from the past 44 games.

I can't help but feel bad about tonight. Arizona had a lead on the Cubs heading into the 6th inning and ended up getting spanked in the last few innings, the Giants are so horrible that this series looks too easy on paper, the Brewers can't keep hitting lefties so incredibly hard, and Noah Lowry can't possibly continue to be so bad against the Brewers.

Prove me wrong, guys. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Just don't suck, Suppan!

Rickie's sure playing a lot for someone who's supposed to be "benched." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif This reminds me of Hardy getting benched a couple years ago and Jenkins getting benched last year. I'm all for getting as many right-handed bats in the lineup against a lefty, though, so no complaints here.

Quote:
Are you kidding me? Mench has a 1.376 OPS this month, Jenkins has a .614 OPS in July. You should be THANKFUL it is a lefty.
I could be wrong but I think the Seargant is just continuing a reverse mojo superstition. Is that right Clueless?
