Fukudome's tearing the cover off the ball - that .143 average is pretty sweet, since his 1 hit thus far was a bounding grounder that got over the 3b's head. The only reason his OBP is high has more to do with getting drilled and grounding into fielder's choices than with drawing walks.

with that said, he probably goes 4-5 with 3 doubles today...hasn't shown anything that indicates he's capable of that to this point, though.

Sorry to nitpick, but reaching on a fielder's choice does not help your OBP.

I hope you're not seriously judging the guy on 7 atbats... maybe if he struck out every time there'd be a tiny, little, small, itsy bitsy concern, but he's only got one strikeout and if 7 atbats is an indication of success then Austin Kearns (.000 OPS in 8 atbats), Delwyn Young (.200 OPS in 8 atbats), Miguel Tejada (.182 OPS in 11 atbats), Moises Alou (.000 OPS in 10 atbats), Vladimir Guerrero (.286 OPS in 7 atbats), Brian McCann (.286 OPS in 7 atbats), David Wright (.258 OPS in 11 atbats), etc. are in a lot of trouble this year!

They should have saved Suppon for this game... 1.000 AVG vs Dempster - Maybe throw him in at SS since JJ is 0-6 vs him. Also, do we have anyone who fields his position as well as Aquino this year to throw in during clutch situations?
