I was thinking about Heat but I wouldn't consider it in the gangster category, it's more a crime drama.

I'm a little surprised that I'm the only person who thought GF II was better than the original.

 

I'm surprised too since most film critics pick Godfather II as the better flick. I also think the flashbacks are the best part of the entire Godfather series, but the regular story was not nearly as good. Watching Michael transform from nice little army boy to crime boss is a much better journey.

You know I was never a big Leo DiCaprio fan until I saw Departed. He was so bad ass in that movie, the entire cast is amazing in that film.
