Does anyone know if there is a way to follow the "B" game? Gagne is pitching the 1st inning, with Rottino catching. Dillon is also playing 1B.

Not usually. Since it isn't a official game, no record of it is kept by MLB.

Edit: And I thought they were going to use the DH instead of pitchers through the week?

I know I heard Gagne would actually be starting in the B game because he is leaving to go see some recital for his daughter. Hopefully he has a clean inning.

JSonline says that he pitched an "easy" inning. Whatever that means. Also there was some concern that he hurt his finger during the game and Yost had to send a trainer out.

Gonzalez hit in back...HBP

Robless (? sp) Sharp single to right....First and third

Chris Young-Rips a single up the middle base hit.....RBI...Runners on first and third 1-1

DaVanon-FC Weeks to hardy....4-6. Bad feed by Weeks to Hardy...Runner on First...2-1 Padres

Gerut --F-6..3 outs...2-1 Padres

 

Bottom of 2nd--Young still pitching

Counsell Bunt 5-3....1 out. 2-1 Padres

Suppan (batting 8th)....6-3...2 out..2-1 Padres

Kendall...lines a single to left....2 out..gives Weeks a shot with a guy on base.

Weeks....full count........Ripped to LF...caught...F-7....3 outs. 2-1 Padres

 

Top of 3....Turnbow pitching.

Kouzmanoff....1-2 count...6-3 ground out. 1 OUT

Gonzalez......4-3 ground out....Anderson said Tbow looks sharp. 2 OUT

Still 2-1 Pads (Kent Sommerfeld is taking over play by play this inning so it might be a little shaky)

 

Top 6th (changes: Munson catching, Nunez at SS, Chavez at 2nd, and TGJ in CF)

Robles.....6-3 (nice play by Nunez and Shiell (sp?) goes 2 scoreless

Bottom 6th (Edwin Moreno not pitching for Pads, Crabbe now playing SS)

Fielder.....single up the middle

Hart.....K looking on fastball on the outside corner at the knees

Gross.....BB on 3-1 count (runners at 1st and 2nd with one out)

Counsell.....foul pop to catcher and he dropped it...CC still alive...now he missed a 3 run jack just foul down RF line.....and now a flare to right that is caught with Prince too far off second and he gets doubled up

After 6 still 2-1 Padres

 

Work day is just about over for me. Gotta take off. Sorry - maybe someone else can finish up?
