Gas grill question

dadofandrew

While grilling this year, my gas grill has not worked very well. Last night, I grilled kind of late compared to usual, and it was getting dark, I noticed why...the metal tubes that take the gas to the burners was barely on, and fire was coming out of them, almost to the ground. I shut the gas off and finished the food inside.

Now this AM, I walked out and studied it. Both metal things were loose, but I just hooked them on and now they seem fine. Are they supposed to be attached somehow, or do they usually just sit on there like that? This is the only gas grill I've ever had, so I have no clue.

Does it look like there was some sort of clamp mechanism attached to the tube previously? I'd guess that would be likely to fall off again without any sort of clamp on there.

What is the make and model of the grill?

Nope, no clamps, and nothing appears to have been there.

It's an older Advantis Fiesta grill, it was my parent-in-laws and they gave it to us when they got a new one, rather than throwing it out. I had always had no interest, preferring charcoal. However, the quickness and ease factor means we use it about 90% of the time.

I just showed my wife, and the tubes now appear to be well on, over an inch, I couldn't even pull them off to show her how they were. We think they might have vibrated off when I used the snowblower on the deck.
