A little over a year ago, I was a news intern with the Lake County News-Sun and within the last week, two good news stories have come out of Lake County. One is this which happened today involving a strip mall explosion. As horrible as it sounds, these kind of news events make a journalist salivate.

Then former Chicago Bear Shaun Gayle's late pregnant girlfriend has a new development in the case. The very coroner who I interviewed countless times and had a great professional rapport with was on CNN and FoxNews about five months ago to discuss the case on national television.

And also, the whole Bolingbrook investigation into the disappearance of Stacy Peterson, former police Sgt's wife, is always on Chicago media. I had a few colleagues from Bolingbrook in the newsroom where I worked.
