I've been dying to go overboard for 5 months, twobrewers. And you know what, if feels great!

A couple summers ago playing softball I had a grounder hop up on me and catch the nail of the middle finger of my throwing hand. Bent it about half way back. Hurt like a son of a gun and it was difficult throwing for a bit, but it wasn't long before I played again.

 

I don't know if this is the same thing, but that was painful and bloody.

Sounds the same to me, ftlow. I think that almost literally everyone has had this 'injury' at one time or another. Bent the nail back far enough to tear it away from the skin underneath & bleed. Painful, yes. Lingering... not really.

Why don't we call everyone who was concerned a "pessimist" and forever minimize the value of what they say here after.
